ST. JOSEF CHURCH
Unusual is the sight of the 2Power PVT collectors on the roof of a Catholic church. Nevertheless, the Catholic community of St. Josef in Schwarzenbruck did not want solar energy during the entire energetic renovation of their church. In addition to the renovation of the roof and the facade, the technology has also been almost completely renewed.
A CHURCH WITH A 2POWER SYSTEM
Together with the inside varnish, an underfloor heating system, a heat pump with a gas condensing boiler for heating and various buffer storage were installed. The heat pump is supplied directly from the 2Power modules with heat and heats the church. At the same time, the electricity from the solar system is used to make the heat pump work and to provide the church with electricity. Excess heat is transferred to the 2000-liter buffer storage for later use. All in all, the 2Power solar system generates a considerable surplus of energy. So far, approximately 27,150 kWh of energy has been used per year. The solar system alone now generates approximately 36,000 kWh per year.
